Coming soon...

Whilst I have been readying the website for launch, work hasn't stopped on sourcing and selecting beautiful antique textiles to create gorgeous new pieces.

Here are a few to whet your appetite for what is to come in the next couple of months. Remember that each piece of wonderful fabric is only large enough to make between 1 and 4 pairs, so if you spot something that you fall in love with do let me know....we can bear your shoe size in mind when making choices about the new batch. There is no obligation to commit to a purchase at this point, unless of course you are confident that this is the right look for you and want to absolutely guarantee you get a specific textile.

First up, a couple of shimmering floral silk brocades, both French 19th century....both featuring bouquets and ribbons. One on an olive green ground, the other a beautiful unusual coppery pink with a rust undertone.

Next a gorgeous coral coloured 19th century French silk damask and a circa 1900 velvet brocade in vibrant green, pinks and red on a cream ground....

If you like opulent gold tones then these might suit...a supple 19th century French silk damask in warm gold, and a purplish blue linen and gold silk brocade with the perfect size classical urn motifs....and it's a damask so either side could be used depending how rich an effect you want...

A vibrant and luxurious French 19th century silk brocade in ruby red with just the right size motif.... and if bold is your bag then we are here for you with this tactile circa 1900 silk velvet with its blue and chestnut Art Nouveau stylings

I do love a stripe, and this bold mustard and blue 19th century French robust upholstery cotton is crying out to be paired with this 17th century Florentine silk fringe....I think this could could look fabulous for a larger men's size. There is a lovely fade to part of the cotton which I will naturally be very tempted to include, ha!

And I also find this printed 19th century French cotton very appealing, again that lovely contrast between the yellow ground and the royal blue accents....

And finally (for now) some beautifully 4" wide velvet ribbon, embroidered with metallic silver and gold thread. I am itching to pair these with plain silk velvets in matching shades of lavender and sienna for what I hope will be something rather reminiscent of Fortuny....
