Coming soon ...

'New' antique fabrics currently in the studio being prepared for transformation into art for your feet....

Here are a few to whet your appetite for what is to come in the next couple of months. Remember that each piece of wonderful fabric is only large enough to make between 1 and 4 pairs, so if you spot something that you fall in love with do let me know....we can bear your shoe size in mind when making choices about the new batch. There is no obligation to commit to a purchase at this point, unless of course you are confident that this is the right look for you and want to absolutely guarantee you get a specific textile.

First up, a lovely 19th C French chinoiserie block print in pinks blues and gold on a dark teal ground. Tiny juggler and fisherman figures, one on each shoe I think. Enough for 3 pairs; one is a size 38 promenader for stock, one pair already reserved, one custom pair available to be made in any size....

Next a red on white (overall effect is pinkish) toile of birds and fruit.

A couple of really pretty 19thC French printed toiles with floral themes, the first in pinks and teals on a French grey ground, the second in pale apricot and olive on a stone ground. Both lovely for Spring/Summer

A couple of French circa 1880s banded silks, only enough to make two (non-identical) pairs from each. These have only just arrived, so are available, but if unreserved these will be made into stock pairs within the next couple of weeks.

Another banded silk, this time early much older, from the early part of the 18th century. A lovely piece, enough for three pairs...

One last morceau of this vibrant early 1800s French block printed indienne left, enough for a single pair of loungers, or promenaders if you have plain red backs. I've placed a couple of pleated silk rosettes, but can be embellished with silk fringes/tassels if preferred)

A wonderfully shimmery French 19thC coral silk damask, enough for two pairs of promenaders or loungers, and a length of antique entirely untouched pink and gold kimono silk.

These fine fellows! An unusually 'modern' textile for me....a 1950s screen printed linen featuruing various French military uniforms....would be splendid with a red suede binding I think. A few different figures available, and enough for a couple of custom pairs

Some precious textile history here....English Spitalfields silk from the early-mid 1700s. Just small fragments so a single pair from each... these will be really special...
