The front waistband is shaped with darts, and there is a drawstring casing at the back waistband to adjust the waist. Closes with buttoned plackets to either side. Beautifully made with the tiniest of stitches, and apparently unworn, so in pristine condition.  A little embroidered monogram at the front waist. \u003cbr\u003eThe pantalettes were the split leg style of the time, a practical solution to wear under the long skirts and petticoats of the era, but to make them more wearable now I have carefully slip stitched them closed by hand. This means they make a lovely alternative to a petticoat under skirts and dresses, or worn with a camisole a delicious set of summer pajamas.
