Fine Lawn & Lace Chemise; Antique French Originals

A delicate romantic late 19th or early 20th century natural off-white fine cotton lawn French chemise slip. 
Finely worked embroidered and inset lace trimmed detailing to the front. Exquisitely made, all hand done with the tiniest of stitches, and apparently unworn or only lightly worn, so in excellent condition. 
Suspended from two silk ribbon shoulder straps, which thread through loops at front and back so length can be adjusted and tied off.

The ingredients Please be aware that these unique pieces are genuine antique and vintage articles which have had a previous life, so consequently there may be the odd very minor smudge or mark to the surface. These in no way impinge on their beauty, and you can be sure that they do not compromise the integrity of the material. Our original antique garments are carefully selected, with only the most pleasing examples being offered in the online store.
Any area of actual damage or thinning is indicated in the description and is carefully repaired or strengthened as required, in a way that complements the beauty of the original garment. These should be seen as an enhancement to the garment, and a sign of the textile's previous life and history.

I have given the actual garment measurements below so you can ascertain for yourself how it will work with your own measurements. Remember to allow enough ease to allow the garment to sit pleasingly … these pieces are meant to be fairly loose fitting, so allow a generous amount of room over your particular body measurements

 Care; This antique garment should be carefully hand washed, and should be dried naturally on the line before a gentle press with a warm iron. It’s preferable to use a liquid detergent designed for delicate fabrics, and don’t use a fabric softener.
