Flight of Fancy; Coral Organza Embroidered Peplum Jacket

Created in the old Brighton studio from a contemporary metallic silk organza in a shimmering coral pink shade. Hand embroidered with silk organza flowers. Fully lined in a plain silk organza.

A low scooped picture neckline is framed by a narrow shawl collar. The pagoda style sleeves fall to just below the elbow, and the bodice jacket is neatly fitted to the waist with a charming fluted peplum flaring to a few inches below. The sleeves are finished with a trim of hanging golden feather motifs and applied ruched silk ribbon.
The effect is translucent, which means it will need to be worn over an undergarment....a simple camisole bodice, a corset, or a fine silk blouse.

The jacket closes at the front with a row of 5 covered buttons.

Constructed with French or bound seams throughout. 

This is a one-off unrepeatable piece that has just been used in a single photo-shoot, and is in good clean eminently wearable condition. There may be a couple of loose stitches buried in the embroidery that are completely invisible when worn, and there may be one or two very faint marks on the silk under-layer commensurate with its sample garment status.  It would make a stunning addition to a costume wardrobe. (I have included a few images from the photo-shoot to demonstrate how lovely it is when worn). An opportunity to acquire a couture quality piece at a vastly reduced price as I now from choice very rarely make this type of garment.

I have given the actual garment measurements below so you can ascertain for yourself how it will work with your own measurements. Remember to double the bodice figures to give maximum circumferences, and whilst this piece is meant to be close fitting, remember to allow an amount of ease over your particular body measurements....these delicate fabrics should not be squeezed into or too much strain will be put on the seams.

**A polite request to please not order to see if you can fit into it if the measurements below make you suspect it will realistically be too tight. Attempting to fit into it in these circumstances is liable to cause damage which in turn means you wont be able to return it for a refund**

Construction The jacket has a full silk organza lining, but it should be noted that the overall effect is still translucent so to achieve opacity it will need to be worn over a separate garment ( not supplied) 

Care; This metallic thread and silk garment should be dry-cleaned by an evening wear specialist only due to the delicate nature of the embroidery.

Packaging Garments are dispatched in acid free tissue paper and recyclable cardboard boxes sealed with kraft paper eco tape. These are placed inside pouches (for weather protection during transit) which are made entirely from an environmentally friendly compostable bio-plastic created from sugar-cane.
